Kiwi Fruit (Italy)	£0.40	qty
The green flesh kiwi is an egg-sized berry with a brown, furry skin and green flesh. It is also known as Chinese gooseberry. Kiwi can be stored in the refrigerator and will continue to ripen. They should be peeled before eating.

Leeks are eaten fresh or cooked and added to other dishes, providing a sweet and somewhat earthy flavour that is much milder than an onion. A leek is used to enhance the flavour of salads, soups, stews, quiches, or meat and vegetable casseroles. Leeks can be stored for a week or less if securely wrapped in plastic and placed in the refrigerator.

Lemons are usually bright yellow in color and can have either a smooth skin or a rough, somewhat knobby skin. The smooth skinned lemons are best for cooking or juicing while the rough skinned lemons are best for grating.

Whole limes will keep for up to ten days in a plastic bag in the fridge. When a lime is reaching the end of its storage life as the skin becomes more pitted. You can freeze lime juice and the zest – freezing in ice cube bags is a useful way of doing this.

Mango (Dom Rep)	£1.50	qty
A tropical fruit, oval in shape, which has a very juicy, sweet flavoured, orange flesh. The skin of the mango is yellowish with an orange tinge when ripe.. To ripen firm mangoes, place fruit in an open plastic or paper bag and let them set at room temperature. Ripening may take up to a week. Once ripened, store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. To cut fresh mango, cut lengthwise along the side of the mango pit, cutting off its flesh from one side. Repeat the same process on the other side and then cut the ends of the pit. Cut the remaining flesh from the pit. Using a small sharp knife peel the skin from the flesh. If you are going to dice or cube the slices, cut the slices, diced or cubed, before removing the skin but do not cut through it. Then turn skin inside out and slice the pieces away from the skin.
